Learning Goals
The University of Florida at Gainesville offers intensive courses in cardiac imaging directed at Cardiologists, Radiologists and Technologists. Courses offer both didactic and hands-on modules that delve into the most practical aspects of cardiac imaging.
Intended Audience
Courses are designed to help cardiologists and radiologists meet their complete ACR/ACCF/AHA Level I & II certification competency requirements. Further, and most importantly, the learning experience will ensure that the attendee will become an advanced and confident independent CTA reader.
Course Content
Course topics for CT include coronary calcium risk assessment, and assessment of coronary plaque and arteries. Course topics for MRI include MR physics, cardiac anatomy and localization, cine and flow quantification, viability and perfusion, and clinical protocols. Course topics will utilize an array of teaching methods including didactic lectures, hands-on training using customer workstations (TOSHIBA-VITAL, TERA Recon, SIEMENS-ARGUS, SYNGO, LEONARDO, Circulation, PHILIPS-GLOBE VIEW, GE-AW).
Accreditation
The University of Florida College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
Credit
The University of Florida College of Medicine designates this educational activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
